About The Position

Cattron is seeking two Product Support Technicians to support and troubleshoot wireless remote-control systems used in rail and industrial applications. This role combines hands-on technical problem solving with direct customer interaction and offers the opportunity to work with complex electrical and electromechanical systems in real-world environments.

Requirements

  • Diploma (DEP/DEC) in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical, electromechanical, or industrial equipment environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and basic mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Solid communication skills and ability to support customers effectively
  • Intermediate level of English required
  • Daily frequency of English communication expected for the position — both written and verbal communication in English will be necessary on a regular basis – primarily for external communications with clients, suppliers, and/or partners outside of Quebec.
  • Reason for English Requirement: The role involves ongoing collaboration with clients and suppliers in regions where English is the primary language. The individual will be required to read and interpret documentation in English and communicate regularly with stakeholders based in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in railway, heavy equipment, industrial automation, or similar industries
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical troubleshooting support to customers (primarily by phone) for remote-control systems
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Recommend repair solutions and required components to restore equipment functionality
  • Analyze product issues and document findings to support continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve product design, reliability, and serviceability
  • Support and mentor other technicians as needed
