About The Position

Kress Corporation is seeking a full-time Product Support Engineer to support steel-industry products and the development of specialized industrial equipment for the steel, construction, and mining industries. The engineer serves as a single point of contact for customers and provides direct technical support to promote customer satisfaction, machine availability, and confidence in the products. The role involves coordinating customer interactions, addressing product issues with internal teams, analyzing field data, supporting product commissioning, and implementing product improvements. The position is based with the Kress team; travel of 20%–30% is required, sometimes on short notice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent prior experience in lieu of the degree.
• Minimum 2–3 years of work experience in heavy equipment.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems.
• Strong ability to multitask successfully.
• Availability to travel 20%–30%, sometimes on short notice.

Nice To Haves

• Heavy equipment experience in the steel or construction industry.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software; Unigraphics/NX is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and implement regular customer site visits and meetings.
• Coordinate and manage customer inquiries and responses to product-related issues with relevant internal departments and resources.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for steel-industry product inquiries, using internal departments and resources to provide prompt, reliable information.
• Collect and analyze field data and incorporate product improvements into new and existing steel-industry products.
• Support Field Representatives during commissioning of new steel-industry products and conduct follow-up meetings with necessary department heads.
• Maintain and implement product improvement processes.
