About The Position

The Product Supply and Logistics Analyst will execute the daily efforts of Fuel Procurement to achieve lowest commercially available economics for typically 15% to 20% of all gallons sold across the retail network. These responsibilities include tracking commercial spot rack and Wawa owned terminal transactions, adjusting portfolio balances consistent with then-current economics, coordinating logistics requirements across the multi-state network and track favorable supply margin to achieve our Annual Supply Margin Budget and Long Range Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in fuel supply or logistics field
  • Skilled in Excel, Access database, and internet applications
  • Ability to learn the use of specialized applications (Rightangle, BAS, TABS, Fuel Smart, FuelQuest)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring all commitments are fulfilled across the network related to term rack contracts.
  • Technology power user (Fuel Smart, Fuel Quest and TABS) responsible for the efficient operation and execution to deliver successful supply performance against established departmental and corporate metrics.
  • Work cross functionally with Finance and Information Technology teams to maintain technologies for Wawa fuel business.
  • Prepare reports and analysis for key measures of economics of supply and carrier performance.
  • Main point of contact for external rack counterparties and vendors for customer service, set ups and market data subscriptions.
  • Assist with the analysis of demurrage outcomes and process demurrage claims inbound and outbound.
  • Assist with the analysis of the barge(s) performance on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain tools used to monitor buy plan execution which will allow us to address potential supplier, terminal or carrier issues in a timely manner.
  • Work to continuously improve supply flexibility by creating and leading a process to ensure every carrier has the ability to lift from the economic supplier at all applicable terminals.
  • Monitor exchange partner activity including weekly and monthly reports.
  • Responsible for the supply margin file reporting as well as coordination with Accounting on any discrepancies on truck BL’s vs file numbers.
  • Adjust carrier schedules consistent with economic considerations and supply reliability.
  • Collaborate with Back Office Fuel Accounting on the RINs reconciliation process and ensure EPA compliance for ethanol RINs.
  • Identify logistical process improvements to reduce costs across supply portfolio.
  • Other duties as assigned.
