About The Position
The Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing various aspects of the supply chain and logistics operations. This includes handling customer orders, managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, communicating with sales staff and trucking companies, and maintaining logistics systems. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experienced in Microsoft Office
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Team player, good intrapersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task with several simultaneous accounts/orders
- Self-motivated, proactive and task oriented
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment is preferred
- Previous experience with logistics, trucking, order fulfillment or other similar industries are preferred
- Previous experience in Salesforce is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Intake of customer orders via email or phone
- Daily inventorying of all plants in territory
- Daily communication and coordination with Sales staff
- Coordination of all deliveries to customer sites
- Daily communication with trucking companies in territory
- Develop and build relationships with existing and new trucking companies
- Request and record freight rates for customer deliveries
- Load setup and coordination in logistics systems (Salesforce, Transwide, SAP)
- Movements of materials to secondary processors
- Coordination and movement of materials into and out of Mintek storage facilities
- Sample management and data entry
