Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator

About The Position

This role is responsible for managing various aspects of the supply chain and logistics operations, including order intake, inventory management, delivery coordination, and relationship building with trucking companies. The coordinator will also be involved in setting up loads, managing material movements, and handling sample data entry.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Team player, good intrapersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task with several simultaneous accounts/orders
  • Self-motivated, proactive and task oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Previous experience in logistics, trucking, order fulfillment or other similar industries
  • Previous experience in Salesforce
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Intake of customer orders via email or phone
  • Daily inventorying of all plants in territory
  • Daily communication and coordination with Sales staff
  • Coordination of all deliveries to customer sites
  • Daily communication with trucking companies in territory
  • Develop and build relationships with existing and new trucking companies
  • Request and record freight rates for customer deliveries
  • Load setup and coordination in logistics systems (Salesforce, Transwide, SAP)
  • Movements of materials to secondary processors
  • Coordination and movement of materials into and out of Mintek storage facilities
  • Sample management and data entry
