Product Strategy & Operations

ClipboardSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Clipboard Health is a marketplace that connects healthcare facilities with professionals looking for shifts. Our largest customers run complex operations, and when something isn't working, the problem often sits across multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders. A customer may be implementing a new product, dealing with a complex integration, or facing an operational issue with no obvious owner or solution. That's where you come in. As a Product Strategy & Operations team member, you'll work directly with some of our most important enterprise customers while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations. You'll take ambiguous problems, figure out what's actually happening, and drive the work required to solve them. This isn't a role where you hand over a recommendation and move on. You'll own critical initiatives from understanding the problem through implementation and resolution.

Requirements

  • 2–6 years of experience in consulting, strategy and operations, implementation, customer strategy, or another role where you've managed complex problems and demanding stakeholders
  • Experience working directly with clients or customers, ideally in situations where you were responsible for managing relationships and navigating difficult conversations
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity. You can walk into a situation with incomplete information, ask the right questions, and create a clear plan
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You know how to dig beneath the topline and get to the root cause of an issue
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. We'd feel confident putting you in front of senior customer stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive work across teams without direct authority
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders at once
  • A strong sense of ownership. You'd rather be responsible for the outcome than simply complete your piece of the work
  • Curious, resourceful, and persistent when the answer isn't obvious

Nice To Haves

  • Consulting backgrounds are often a strong fit, particularly for candidates who have experience solving ambiguous problems, working directly with clients, and driving complex projects across multiple stakeholders. However, we're open to candidates from other backgrounds with the same core skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex customer and product problems from diagnosis through resolution
  • Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their challenges, manage expectations, and build strong relationships with stakeholders ranging from operators to VP and Director-level leaders
  • Lead complex implementations, particularly involving areas such as time clock compliance, payroll, and integrations with systems like ADP and UKG
  • Break ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, priorities, owners, and timelines
  • Dig into data and customer feedback to identify root causes and separate symptoms from the underlying problem
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to investigate issues, define solutions, and improve the product based on what you're seeing with customers
  • Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams to unblock work and keep critical initiatives moving
  • Communicate clearly and directly with customers and internal stakeholders, especially when priorities shift or things aren't going according to plan
  • Identify recurring customer problems and patterns, and use those insights to help improve our product and how we operate
  • Travel to customer sites occasionally when being there in person will help move an important problem or implementation forward
