About The Position

Join CIBC’s Product Positioning and Research Team for an immersive and dynamic fall co-op experience. As a Product Strategy and Research Analyst, you will be at the heart of our asset management business, supporting the development of competitive intelligence frameworks and gaining hands-on exposure to a wide range of investment strategies. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Strategy, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams; including sales, marketing, and portfolio management to analyze competitive landscape, craft compelling narratives for our sales team, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Every day will offer a unique learning opportunity, from participating in key business meetings to connecting the dots across different functions. You’ll develop advanced skills in Excel and Power BI, deepen your understanding of the asset management industry, and play a role in shaping the future of our product suite. Requirements

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible, however, you do not need to be in a registered Co-op program to be considered for this role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the enhancement of our competitive intelligence framework by analyzing market trends, investment strategies, and competitor products.
  • Assess and interpret complex data, identify patterns, and develop actionable insights to support product strategy and sales enablement.
  • Work closely with a diverse team to visualize new product opportunities, assess market positioning, and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings across the organization, gaining exposure to multiple business functions and learning from industry leaders.
  • Challenge the status quo by sharing your insights and ideas.
  • Advance your skills in Excel and Power BI, applying them to real-world business problems and data analysis.
