About The Position

Blue Cross Blue Shield Global SolutionsSM is seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Product Specialist to support our growing product organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep research, translating insights into action, partnering cross‑functionally, and helping bring innovative global health products to market. The Product Specialist will focus on competitor research, market insights, product performance analysis, and operational support for Product Managers. You will play a key role in sharpening our product strategy and ensuring our offerings remain competitive, relevant, and aligned with customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in product, market research, business analysis, consulting, or related role.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in health insurance, healthcare, digital health, or global benefits.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of market sizing, competitive frameworks, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience transforming data into executive-ready insights.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing competitive landscape analysis across global health insurance, international benefits, assistance services, and digital health solutions.
  • Monitor competitor product launches, pricing updates, distribution models, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Maintain a competitive intelligence library and distribute insights to product stakeholders thru various internal communication channels.
  • Translate raw data into actionable insights that inform product roadmaps, portfolio decisions, and strategic planning.
  • Partner with Product Managers to assist in creating product documentation such as requirements, feature briefs, functional specifications, and user flows.
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and testing activities to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure meeting notes are accurate and accessible to meeting participants.
  • Help coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external partners to ensure smooth product delivery.
  • Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and usage data; identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and executive reviews.
  • Support development of business cases and ROI assessments for new product concepts.
  • Maintain product materials including sales decks, product sheets, and FAQs.
  • Support governance and compliance processes related to product approvals and documentation.
  • Assist with training internal teams on product updates and enhancements.
