About The Position

Halter is seeking a Product Specialist to own the company's product and related development projects in the U.S. This role involves close collaboration with the Halter HQ in New Zealand, the U.S. commercial team, and ranchers to ensure the Halter product delivers significant value. Halter is a rapidly growing agritech company offering a transformative technology for pasture-based grazing, including cattle collars and an app for virtual fencing, cattle shifting, and monitoring. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, comfortable in a dynamic environment, and deeply committed to understanding customer needs and championing their interests. Travel is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Spend time on ranches with customers to identify areas for product improvement, fixes, or new features.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams, providing input and feedback to prioritize projects based on rancher needs.
  • Lead projects for continuous product innovation and expansion, managing them from design to execution.
  • Share in-depth knowledge and context about U.S. ranches, animals, and virtual fencing across Halter.
  • Partner with Territory Managers to ensure strong alignment.
  • Critically evaluate the product end-to-end to initiate projects that benefit ranchers and their cattle.
  • Work with strategic customers to ensure they are maximizing product utilization and value.
  • Undertake other tasks as needed to ensure Halter's success in the U.S.
