About The Position

The (USA) Director, Product Management leads the vision and strategy for a complex product family, guiding multiple teams through the full product lifecycle from discovery to value realization. This role drives customer-centric solutions by leveraging data and operational insights, aligning roadmaps with business objectives, and managing cross-functional trade-offs. Responsible for financial outcomes and talent development, the director fosters collaboration across stakeholders to deliver measurable impact. The position requires strong leadership in product execution, strategic planning, and data-driven decision making to advance product innovation and organizational goals. The Customer Data & Identity (CDI) team enables Walmart’s various segments and international markets to access a unified, real-time customer view, eliminating fragmented data efforts. Operating at significant scale, CDI manages hundreds of millions of customer identities and supports real-time activation across marketing and retention systems. The team is expanding globally to deliver consistent capabilities worldwide. Members focus on solving complex identity, data, and trust challenges that enhance the effectiveness of other teams. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in product strategy and roadmap development for complex product families.
  • Demonstrated leadership managing multiple product teams through full lifecycle execution.
  • Strong ability to translate customer insights and data into measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience driving data-driven decision making, including experimentation and AI integration.
  • Skilled in balancing cross-functional trade-offs involving engineering, design, and business priorities.
  • Track record of coaching and developing product talent to achieve organizational goals.
  • Financial acumen with accountability for P&L and resource allocation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to align strategic objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 11 years’ experience in product management.
  • 13 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products
  • Supervisory experience
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
