About The Position
Chicago Tube and Iron Company is a leader in the metals distribution and fabrication industry. We are an established company with an impressive record of profitability and growth. This role, the Pipe, Valves & Fittings Specialist, will work closely with local sales professionals and the corporate marketing manager in a team approach to enhance our position within this important part of our overall business.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial sales or customer service
- Good data entry skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- College degree preferred
- Recent college graduates with a degree in sales, marketing or a related field will also be considered
- Strong knowledge base in sourcing and market trends would be a definite plus
Responsibilities
- Analyze, source, quote, and implement new business opportunities in the pipe, valves and fittings market
- Work closely with sales and marketing managers to obtain new business
- Assist sales staff with product sourcing
- Assist purchasing with current lead times and pricing
