Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Product (Solution) Owner | Patient Flow Location: Hybrid - Candidates must reside in WI, MI, MN, or IA to be considered. Reports to: Director, ITDS Business Systems – Financial & Scheduling Please note: Immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B) is not available for this position. Position Summary: To enhance operational alignment and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery, Emplify Health is establishing a dedicated Patient Flow Solutions Team within IT Digital Services (ITDS). This team will be the enterprise’s central point of accountability for patient access workflows, clinical operations, and cross-functional collaboration. The Solution Owner within this team is responsible for aligning with organizational strategy, driving the vision, developing the roadmap, and achieving the goals and objectives of the assigned patient flow solution. This role requires bringing deep knowledge and decision-making authority to ensure stakeholder engagement and that end-user needs are met. The Solution Owner shares accountability for success with the cross-functional team assigned to the solution. The ideal candidate will be highly effective in communication with all stakeholders, including operational and business leads, Scrum Masters or Project Managers, and Developers. They will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement. The team will initially focus on Patient Flow functionality, including Prelude (registration), ADT Grand Central, Patient Registration, Billing, Referrals, Work Queues, Letters/Documents, Hello World, Appointment Reminders, Welcome/Kiosk, DAR/BCAs, Co-pays, Real Time Eligibility, Department Build, and management of incidents, enhancements, tasks, and demands not related to Cadence Scheduling or Ticket Scheduling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in agile product ownership, product or solution management, leadership, or functional expertise.
  • Proven experience implementing large-scale functional improvements or strategic outcomes.
  • Skilled in facilitating meetings at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to work across functional groups and identify improvement areas.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Servant leadership mindset with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and understanding business value.
  • Proficiency in prioritization methodologies and change management practices.
  • Healthcare experience is ideal.
  • Any license or certification relevant to the area of specialty.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner) certification.
  • Additional Agile certifications such as CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner).

  • Communicate the business value of services and solutions to customers and functional areas.
  • Collaborate with business areas, portfolio management, technology, and support teams to define and resource new features.
  • Develop and manage the solution budget.
  • Obtain approvals, track progress, and report to management.
  • Share responsibility for overall team performance.
  • Lead recruitment and skill gap identification for the solution team.
  • Work harmoniously within a large cross-functional team at all organizational levels.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
