We are seeking a Product Repairs Technician based out of our headquarters in Kent, WA to help ensure our products continue to live up to DCI’s high standards and exceed the expectations of our global customers. You will be responsible for processing and performing troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and quality testing of customer-returned equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in a technical field
  • Three-plus years of related experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
  • Mechanical aptitude, able to learn details of proprietary and complex electro-mechanical devices
  • Working knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with personnel across all levels of the organization
  • Hands-on aptitude, attention to detail, self-directed and able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Possess a high sense of integrity and confidentiality, maintain confidential product and trade secrets information

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or upgrade electronic equipment to procedures and specifications
  • Log and process equipment details in ERP computer system, proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct final testing and verify that units meet DCI quality requirements, prepare test reports
  • Maintain accurate equipment service records of repairs and upgrades
  • Support the DCI customer service team regarding issues with devices, explaining problems and solutions
  • Provide support to receive, clean, and prepare customer-returned equipment for repair or upgrade
  • Disassemble and prepare non-serviceable equipment according to scrap process, prepare traceability records
  • Assist with physical inventory of repair parts, as needed
  • Manage procedures, drawings, manuals and other information sources
  • Effectively communicate with other individuals and departments on repair related issues
  • Support colleagues and product repair operations in international offices with best pratices and documentation
  • Communicate product and process suggestions and contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Proficiently use a personal computer to perform job tasks, including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Ensure you follow appropriate personal safety and ESD prevention protocols
