About The Position
Ever.Ag is seeking a Product Owner with deep crop insurance industry knowledge and a passion for building software that simplifies the lives of agents and customers. Requirements
- Crop insurance industry experience is required, including understanding of workflows, terminology, regulatory landscape, and pain points.
- 5+ years in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role supporting software development teams.
- Strong ability to listen, synthesize, document, and communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort working through ambiguity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Excitement about how AI is changing software development.
Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle for assigned projects, from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Set and defend priorities in the product backlog based on customer needs, business commitments, and product vision.
- Translate customer and stakeholder input into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to scope, refine, and estimate work, ensuring delivered value aligns with intended outcomes.
- Build mockups and prototypes to visualize ideas before development begins.
- Present demos to internal and external audiences.
- Document new features through release notes, learning guides, and user documentation.
- Test delivered features to confirm they meet acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
- Serve as the internal go-to expert on the product's capabilities.
- Advocate for the customer, even when it requires pushing back.
