About The Position

Just Right Reader is a forward-thinking curriculum provider committed to advancing literacy for students from Birth through 12th Grade. Our comprehensive resources are designed to support all learners, including upper-grade students requiring additional intervention to develop foundational skills. Grounded in the Science of Reading, our high-quality materials and tools equip educators with the support they need to accelerate achievement and foster lifelong readers. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly collaborative Product Operations Specialist to join our team at Just Right Reader. In this role, you will work directly alongside the Manager of Product Operations to ensure seamless execution across our publishing production, vendor workflows, and print product deliverables that support early childhood reading in schools. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and teamwork are paramount. You will own specific day-to-day operational processes, helping establish operational standards while delivering high-quality results with minimal guidance.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, active listening, and a team-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage individual workload, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver reliable outcomes independently.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets).
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Acrobat for document management and reviewing print-ready assets.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or light experience navigating Canva for basic visual edits or asset organization.
  • Experience or a strong background in book publishing, print production, or early childhood literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned operational tasks, ensuring high-quality, on-time completion across production schedules.
  • Support daily communication and task management with external vendors, contractors, and partners to keep projects moving forward smoothly.
  • Serve as a reliable, clear, and proactive communicator across internal teams to align priorities, troubleshoot roadblocks, and drive shared goals.
  • Identify operational friction within your scope, resolve day-to-day issues independently, and escalate complex challenges with proposed solutions.
  • Maintain clean project documentation, organized file management, and accurate reporting to support team effectiveness.
