About The Position

This is a hands-on production operations role. Under the supervision of a foreman, the Product Mover/Walkie Rider sets up production and tears down the department, maintains a constant workflow on the line, and uses a walkie rider or walk-behind vehicle to move product from the line to the cooler. The role also records tanks and racks for inventory purposes and performs other duties as assigned by the foreman. Work must meet USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and company standards.

The position requires working in a wet, cold environment and wearing required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, earplugs, a hard hat, hair net, protective coat, forearm protection, and plastic and cotton gloves. Requirements

• Be able to obtain a Walkie Rider/Walk Behind driver license.
• Be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role.
• Be able to twist, bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours or the duration of the shift in a wet, cold environment.
• Be able to lift over 30 to 50 pounds during shift hours.
• Be able to use all four limbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up production and tear down the department under the supervision of a foreman.

• Record all tanks and racks for inventory purposes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman.
