About The Position

Gopher Sport is seeking passionate and experienced candidates to join their Product Marketing Team as a Product Marketer within the Gopher business unit. Gopher Sport is a leading inventor and seller of high-quality, innovative products for physical education, athletics, fitness, and recreation, with a mission to help teachers and coaches show kids how to have fun and be healthier through physical activity. A Gopher Product Marketer is responsible for building desirable, profitable, high-quality, unique, and comprehensive product assortments that create excitement and fulfill the needs of institutional customers.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in business administration, marketing, or related field from an accredited university/college.
  • Minimum 4 years success in a merchandising or sales & marketing role.
  • Minimum 4 years experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and Windows Operating System.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and launch targeted new products which meet high standards for sales, profitability, incremental contribution, quality, appearance, and inventory efficiency.
  • Work directly with the internal Product Development Team to define the vision for new products, providing direction from idea to completion.
  • Ensure superior product presentations across all channels for both new introductions and the existing assortment.
  • Execute pricing strategies to achieve targeted market positioning and margin requirements.
  • Manage the product assortment within assigned categories throughout the product life cycle.
