Product Manager

AlertMedia•Austin, TX

About The Position

AlertMedia is hiring a Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and day-to-day development of new AI capabilities for its risk intelligence and response platform. The role focuses on helping organizations turn information about emerging threats into coordinated action, especially across complex workflows involving multiple people and systems. The Product Manager will build deep knowledge of customers and their workflows, shape the direction of an emerging product, and guide initiatives from discovery through delivery, launch, and measurement. The position works closely with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support, and uses AI development and design tools to create prototypes that test ideas with customers early. The role is remote within eligible U.S. locations, with a strong preference for Austin, Texas candidates. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of product management experience in B2B enterprise software, including end-to-end ownership of a product or major product area across discovery, delivery, and measurement.
  • Experience leading an established or emerging product or major capability and evolving it to meet changing market needs.
  • Prior experience working on agentic and/or AI-native products, such as workflow automation, interactive assistants, integration platforms, or agentic tooling.
  • Working understanding of designing AI- and LLM-based capabilities into products, including their potential leverage and need for guardrails.
  • A systems mindset and ability to reason about workflows, dependencies, triggers, and how process components fit together.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort making decisions from incomplete or conflicting information.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with Engineering and executives.
  • Comfort with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and product analytics software.
  • A collaborative, no-ego approach and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Resourcefulness and persistence when the path is unclear.
  • Energetic, empathetic, and earnest approach, with a consistent record of delivering quality work on schedule.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Must have existing U.S. work authorization and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Conduct ongoing customer and prospect interviews, discovery conversations, workflow walk-throughs, and feedback sessions to identify specific problems.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current product strengths, future opportunities, industry trends, AI and automation, platform and integration changes, and competitors.
  • Own the roadmap for new AI capabilities, making and explaining decisions about what to build, defer, or decline.
  • Shape product strategy and positioning for an evolving product and build the case for its future direction.
  • Balance business objectives, customer needs, and industry trends when prioritizing work, and make tradeoffs clear to stakeholders.
  • Define problem sets and jobs to be done for initiatives so teams understand desired outcomes before deciding on solutions.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to turn customer problems into specifications, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones.
  • Break large initiatives into releasable increments that deliver customer value early and inform subsequent work.
