The position is part of a global Product Management organization including product managers, product owners, and business analyst professionals who leverage strong industry and product knowledge to help develop our overall Insurance strategy for RealPage Financial Services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 Years of Product management experience required.
  • Product experience with Insurance, financial services products, or transactional consumer-based products (B2C) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and evangelizing game-changing product innovations that support and improve the company's strategic and competitive position.
  • Experience in managing matrixed teams through the application of industry-accepted Software Development Life Cycle (i.e., Agile and iterative processes).
  • Experience managing product requirements and translating them into compelling products and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership relative to projects, deadlines, and product knowledge.
  • Superior organizational ability with proven experience effectively utilizing current project management software tools (e.g., Requirements Management, Issue Tracking, etc.).
  • Ability to direct future product efforts and operational efficiencies.
  • Flexible during times of change with the ability to navigate and resolve ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing the competitive landscape, defining market requirements, and packaging the features into product releases.
  • Maintaining close interaction with product owners, development leads, product architects, and key customers throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and leading product team efforts for gathering feature-level requirements from existing and potential customers as well as recent evaluators.
  • Managing product backlogs, and monitoring the delivery of each product project including handoff for operationalization and Go-To-Market plan execution needs to the Product Strategy team.
  • Prioritizing and managing activities to support running the Insurance business line.
  • Define user personas for individual products.
  • Accept Epic & Feature Sets from the Product Strategy team and coordinate with product owners to break down the project into product requirements and use case scenarios.
  • Incorporate System Maintenance, IT Requirements, Minor Enhancements, and Bug Fixes into the product backlog prioritization.
  • Review customer escalations and prioritize corrective action in partnership with the business operations team, and in conjunction with release scheduling via the release train team members.
  • Regularly update the Product Strategy team on project progress, including sprint review inclusion and release notes generation.
  • Maintain a status dashboard for all portfolio products to communicate with Stakeholders including Release Milestones & Minimum Viable Product Scope.
  • Maintain the product portfolio roadmap in conjunction with the Product Strategy team.
  • Conduct technology assessments best suited for supporting our property management and internal customers.
  • Monitor and incorporate industry innovations.
  • Forecasting responsibilities for the existing business lines.
