About The Position

Supermicro is seeking a Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of server/workstation system products and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on server/storage product and SDS solutions where communication among remote teams and on-site product leadership for our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill roadmap expectation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is desirable
2+ years of hands-on experience in system/server architecture, storage systems, or Software-Defined Storage solutions is preferred
Demonstrated ability in product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed a number of products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life
Strong knowledge of computer architecture, storage technologies, and Software-Defined Storage platforms
Exceptional communication and presentation skill is a must, able to communicate effectively with customers to promote solutions, answer questions, and receive feedback

Nice To Haves

Experience with enterprise storage technologies such as Ceph, ZFS, Kubernetes storage, object storage, parallel file systems, or NVMe/TCP is a plus
Familiarity with AI/HPC infrastructure, cloud platforms, and data center networking technologies is preferred

Responsibilities

Develop product roadmap and lead the development and integration of server/workstation, storage, and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) solutions
Develop and deliver a clear strategy and partner closely with marketing, engineering, and business development to provide complete server and SDS infrastructure solutions to customers
Leverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements for cloud/data center infrastructure and SDS solutions based on customer requirements, industry trends, and business requirements
Work closely with Software-Defined Storage partners and ecosystem vendors to validate and optimize solutions on Supermicro platforms
Engage with customers at various levels including senior executives, engineering, and product marketing to convey our capabilities and vision, and understand their challenges and requirements related to AI, HPC, cloud, and enterprise storage infrastructure
Escalate critical issues to high level management and vendors for solution as needed
Provide product trainings to internal teams, sales teams, and customers on server, storage, and SDS solutions
Provide 3rd level customer support to both internal and external customers as needed
