Product Manager

CivalgoMontreal, QC
Hybrid

About The Position

At Civalgo, we believe collaboration is the key to success in the civil engineering and construction industry. We're building an all-in-one operations management platform that seamlessly connects the office and the field, optimizing every stage of complex, multi-billion-dollar construction projects. Our mission is to transform how civil engineering and construction teams work together. Through our digital project management software, we help companies improve collaboration, meet deadlines and budgets, and increase productivity. From planning to payroll, Civalgo centralizes operations on a single platform for smooth, efficient management. Our ambition doesn't stop there. We're building a system that continuously learns from how contractors work in the field, so that one day we can give them predictions that help them anticipate risks and make better decisions before problems even arise.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in product management, ideally in a startup
  • Solid command of product management artifacts and processes, enough to guide the team
  • Data-driven, able to turn customer data into clear, concise insights
  • Experience with data analysis tools, ideally including SQL
  • Startup mindset: autonomous, comfortable with ambiguity, biased toward simple and fast solutions
  • You want to build and to have an impact on an industry that badly needs reinventing, one that represents more than 10% of the global GDP
  • You don't have all the answers, but you know how to find them and you learn fast
  • Good UX fundamentals, and maybe even experience with user groups that have low tech savviness
  • Preferably bilingual french and english, spoken and written, since the role involves customer interactions

Responsibilities

  • Translate vision into clear priorities and a roadmap, turning strategy into concrete initiatives for the engineering teams
  • Meet with customers and gather field feedback to identify what needs improving on the platform, objectively and based on facts
  • Define and refine product success metrics (e.g., adoption by workers on site) to measure real business impact
  • Turn requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, bridging strategy and engineering execution
  • Prioritize the backlog and arbitrate complex trade-offs, balancing customer requests from customer success, new opportunities from sales, and technical constraints
  • Work closely with engineering, customer success, and sales to align the organization and improve the processes that touch the product
