This role involves developing, communicating, and executing product strategy and roadmaps for assigned product categories within the myQ residential portfolio. The Product Manager will lead the planning and delivery of product launches from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with business objectives related to revenue, profitability, quality, and innovation. They will conduct market, consumer, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth, product differentiation, and cost optimization. Collaboration with Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams is key to defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and delivering solutions that enhance the user experience for connected devices. The role also includes partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and implement go-to-market (GTM) plans for e-commerce and retail channels, managing financial performance of assigned products, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product success, and coordinating the development of marketing collateral. As a Product Owner in Agile development environments, the Product Manager will contribute to sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and review sessions. Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and consumer trends, collaborating with internal stakeholders on compliance, and representing the company at industry events are also part of the responsibilities. This is a hybrid position with telecommuting permitted and travel required up to 25% of the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; foreign equivalent accepted.
  • 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Marketing, involving development, execution, and management of consumer or electromechanical products.
  • Proficiency in product lifecycle management for consumer electronic or electromechanical devices.
  • Proficiency in defining and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Proficiency in data driven analysis.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments involving Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Experience performing data-driven analysis to support product decisions, pricing, and profitability.
  • Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps, feature definitions, and documentation.
  • Experience applying Agile/Scrum methodologies in product development cycles.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, and KPI tracking for product performance.

Responsibilities

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product success and customer engagement, leveraging analytics and consumer feedback to guide continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the development and execution of marketing collateral, technical documentation, and training materials to support product rollout and adoption.
  • Act as a Product Owner in Agile development environments, contributing to sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and review sessions.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and consumer trends to inform future product development and roadmap planning.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Chamberlain Group’s quality, data protection, and product-safety standards.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as needed to communicate product vision and gather market insights.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, providing strategic input on product innovation and lifecycle management.
