About The Position

Labconco is seeking a Product Manager to drive the growth, performance, and lifecycle management of a portfolio of scientific products. This role is open to candidates with varying levels of product management experience, from early-career professionals to experienced leaders. The position involves working at the intersection of science, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to identify market opportunities, support new product development, execute product launches, and serve as a technical resource. The ideal candidate has experience in a laboratory setting and a solid understanding of laboratory equipment, its use, and applications. Experience with technical instrumentation, pharmaceutical containment, and/or inert glove boxes for chemistry or materials science applications are considered plusses. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific related discipline.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support and/or lead the management of products throughout their lifecycle, including product launches, updates, enhancements, and discontinuations.
  • Analyze customer needs, laboratory applications, market trends, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Gather, maintain, and leverage market intelligence and competitive information to strengthen product positioning and business decisions.
  • Participate in and/or lead product development initiatives by gathering customer input, documenting requirements, and partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, sales tools, presentations, application notes, literature, online content, and promotional materials.
  • Prepare and analyze product-related data including sales performance, product profitability, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing Communications, and Customer Service to ensure successful product execution.
  • Provide technical, application, and product support to internal teams, channel partners, and customers.
  • Support product training initiatives and help build product knowledge throughout the organization.
  • Participate in customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and field activities to deepen market understanding and strengthen customer relationships.
