About The Position
The Boeing Company, specifically Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SIWS) in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level, Experienced, or Senior Product Data Management Engineer (Level 3, 4, or 5). This role is crucial for innovators connecting, protecting, exploring, and inspiring through work that shapes the world. The engineer will be involved in reviewing software documentation, overseeing configuration control, generating software CM records, verifying software deliveries and releases, and supporting Change Boards and audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months
- 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management particularly in Software
- Knowledge of Jira
Nice To Haves
- Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 5: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 15 plus years of experience in both Hardware & Software Configuration Management in Aerospace Industry
- NDIA certification in Configuration Management
- Participated and lead AS9100, CMMI audits
- Experience with TeamCenter, ClearQuest, Alfresco, UNIX, or DOORS
- Updated or created Command Medias and Procedures for Configuration Management, and came up with solutions for improvements
Responsibilities
- Review of software documentation for internal consistency and adherence to Boeing and program standards
- Oversee configuration control of software work products
- Generates Software CM records as evidence of adherence to Software CM plans and Boeing standards
- Verifies accuracy of software deliveries and releases, both internal and external
- Support Change Boards, and respond to internal audits and customer queries
