About The Position

LifeLabs is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Product Manager for an 18-month contract. This hybrid role, based in Toronto, ON or Burnaby, BC, involves developing and executing product strategies to drive growth across a portfolio of diagnostic products and services. The Product Manager will lead new product, service, and program launches from concept to implementation and ongoing optimization, collaborating with various departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Operations, Medical, and Business Intelligence. The role requires using customer insights and market intelligence to inform business decisions and identify new opportunities, translating customer needs into actionable strategies, and supporting business growth through strong product management, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience within healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or a related industry.
  • University degree in Business, Science, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience leading product, service, or program launches from strategy through execution.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to develop growth strategies and evaluate business opportunities.
  • Experience using market research, customer insights, and data analytics to inform product decisions.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Sales experience within diagnostics or healthcare is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop short- and long-term product strategies informed by customer insights, market intelligence, business priorities, and industry trends.
  • Lead the planning, launch, implementation, and ongoing optimization of products, services, and programs within your portfolio.
  • Develop business and product plans that support growth, customer adoption, and financial objectives.
  • Design product strategies and tailored solutions that address evolving market and customer needs.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Operations, Medical, and Business Intelligence teams to successfully deliver product initiatives and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Lead end-to-end product execution, including requirements gathering, project planning, implementation, launch, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop sales enablement tools, presentations, and product resources while providing product training and ongoing support to internal teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, healthcare providers, sales teams, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, regulatory requirements, reimbursement pathways, and developments within assigned therapeutic areas.
  • Gather and translate customer feedback and market insights into actionable recommendations that enhance products, services, and customer experience.
  • Clearly articulate the value of LifeLabs' products and services and identify opportunities for continued portfolio growth.
