About The Position

Félix is hiring a senior product leader for its orchestration platform, the core infrastructure that manages remittance transactions from customer initiation through delivery. The platform coordinates routing, compliance checks, partner calls, payouts, reconciliation, retries, and compensation when steps fail. Remittance is the first product using the platform, and the company intends future products to launch on this layer rather than build their own transaction orchestration. The role defines the platform’s boundaries, guarantees, and non-goals; determines which capabilities are platform primitives versus product responsibilities; and leads the path to onboarding additional products. It owns the platform engineering roadmap, the contracts and tooling that enable teams to build against and operate the platform, and the metrics used to measure its success. The role represents the platform to operations, compliance, and finance, and partners with the engineering lead on architecture decisions with product consequences.

Requirements

At least 5 years of product management experience, including at least 3 years owning a platform, infrastructure, API, or backend product primarily serving other engineering teams.
Experience shipping a product or platform that other teams built on, and ability to discuss the consequences of its abstractions and what could have been done better.
Strong grounding in distributed-systems concepts, including asynchronous processing, eventual consistency, at-least-once delivery, idempotency, compensation versus rollback, and failure modes of long-running workflows.
Ability to participate as a peer in design conversations with senior engineers.
Experience in payments, remittance, banking, ledger, or transaction processing, with understanding of settlement, reconciliation, payout partners, and compliance screening.
Exceptional written communication, including the ability to create specifications and contracts that serve as dependable references.
Comfort working directly with data, including querying, reading dashboards, and investigating anomalies independently.
A track record of saying no to powerful internal stakeholders and being right often enough to retain their trust.
Equivalent competencies in the listed areas will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on product experience with a workflow or durable-execution engine such as Temporal, Cadence, Step Functions, Camunda, or an in-house equivalent.
Experience owning platform reliability outcomes, not just features.

Responsibilities

Define the orchestration platform’s boundaries, guarantees, and non-goals, and determine which capabilities belong in the platform versus consuming products.
Own the sequencing and core changes needed before a second product can onboard, as well as the migration approach for remittance as the platform evolves.
Define contracts for teams building on the platform, including workflow interfaces, idempotency, retry and compensation semantics, timeouts, state visibility, and SLAs.
Provide documentation, onboarding, and observability tooling to make the platform self-serve and operable.
Run the platform engineering team’s roadmap, balancing remittance reliability with platform investment.
Own platform success metrics, including workflow success rates, time-to-completion, manual intervention rate, time to resolve stuck workflows, and time-to-integrate.
Represent the platform to operations, compliance, and finance.
Partner with the engineering lead on architecture decisions with product consequences.
