Requirements

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
5+ Years of product management experience.
3+ years of Private Markets experience in Asset Management.
3+ Experience in eFront is required.
Experience in Fund-Of-Funds or Secondaries is required.
Experience in green field engineering initiatives is required.
Understanding of SDLC is required
Understanding of product and system design is required
Experience in using GenAI LLMs to accelerate ideation and content creation is required.
Proven product manager with strong functional and technical capabilities
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Exceptional critical thinker and strong business judgment; Inquisitive and committed to continual improvement/learning
Change agent/leader, self-motivated, self-starter; High accuracy and detail orientation
Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation, documentation) and client service skills; capability of interacting with key stakeholders to direct prioritization of program-related activity
Experience and ability to proactively and continuously identify and analyze problem situations to develop an effective and improved course of action for resolution
Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach
Ability to be flexible in terms of hours to coordinate with team members across time zones
Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

Understanding of Alternatives Investment Lifecycle and associated systems is preferred.
Knowledge of modern UI/UX best practices.
Basic understanding of modern software development stack including GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD.
Strong understanding in streaming and messaging platforms like Kafka.
Understanding of cloud computing concepts is preferred but not required
Experience with Dynamo is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Define and drive a comprehensive product strategy and multi-year roadmap for Ares Secondaries, ensuring alignment with firm-wide objectives and business needs.
Establish clear OKRs to track progress and impact, continuously refining the roadmap based on stakeholder input, and firm priorities.
Provide strategic direction across the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and development through launch and iteration—ensuring product alignment and consistency in user experience throughout the investment lifecycle.
Foster deep partnerships with diversified stakeholders—including Investment Teams, Operations, Controllers, and Technology—to align on strategic goals, gather localized requirements, and ensure adoption of scalable, outcome-oriented solutions.
Promote a unified product vision while accommodating business specific nuances.
Actively contribute to Technology and company-wide priorities, offering input beyond the immediate product role to support broader firm objectives and initiatives.
Partner with high caliber engineering teams on delivering differentiated software solutions for Ares Secondaries
