About The Position

Wise Pelican is hiring a Product Manager to help turn our product ideas, our business needs, our customer feedback, and our developer work into clean, documented, and organized execution. Our ideal pelican will be very close to the work we push out for our clients. You’ll learn our products deeply, understand what major goals we’re trying to accomplish, and help make sure our development work is visible, organized, and making the intended impact. This role is a great fit for someone who likes product, likes organization, likes cleaning up messes, and gets weirdly satisfied getting things out of peoples’ brains and into a place that can be accessed by all. This could very well be your first step into the SaaS world. Wise Pelican’s goal is simple: to make direct mail marketing as simple and straightforward as possible for our customers. We are keeping our startup mentality while scaling into a growth phase, and we are looking for team members ready to make an impact. This position is a full-time, in-office position located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Requirements

  • You already use AI tools. Maybe you consider yourself a Vibe Coder.
  • You can pick up a piece of software, figure out how it works, and explain it clearly to someone else.
  • You like product, even if you have not had a formal Product Manager title or even worked at a tech company before. You consider yourself technical and business-minded.
  • You are organized. Maybe so much it annoys your friends and family.
  • You communicate well with different kinds of people: developers, support teams, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable asking clarifying questions until the work actually makes sense.
  • You need to be curious, sharp, accountable, and willing to fail. It’s a part of doing business.
  • Examples of times you’ve written clear documentation, SOPs, tickets, QA notes, product specs, or process guides before, even if it is not in the context of a tech or SaaS company.
  • Used AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, or similar tools to work faster or learn faster.
  • Built something, tested something, or made life easier with the help of AI tooling and your own organizational processes.
  • Can show an example of how you turned a vague problem into a clear plan.

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree isn’t necessary; you can be self-taught in software. Or your degree path gave you hands-on experience working with AI tools and getting technical with product.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Wise Pelican’s products deeply enough to understand how they work, where they break, and what our customers and internal teams need from them.
  • Turn product requests, Slack conversations, customer support feedback, and leadership priorities into clear tickets for our dev team to work on.
  • Make sure development work is documented before, during, and after it happens.
  • Review tickets to make sure they clearly explain the problem, desired outcome, acceptance criteria, and business context.
  • Monitor product conversations across Slack, standups, and internal meetings so important work does not disappear into the void.
  • Run QA on completed product work to confirm that what was built matches what the business actually asked for.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales to validate whether completed work solves the real problem.
  • Hold developers and stakeholders accountable to using tickets, documenting work, and keeping product work organized.
  • Help run standups, track work in progress, and make sure the team has clear visibility into what is being worked on.
  • Identify product gaps and proactively document them before they become bigger issues.
  • Use AI tools and modern software workflows to work faster, organize better, and reduce manual admin work.
  • Learn the Wise Pelican product ecosystem and understand how our tools help real estate agents get leads and close deals.
  • Sit in on product and engineering conversations to understand how work moves from idea to shipped feature.
  • Start creating and cleaning up tickets so developer work becomes easier to understand, prioritize, and track.
  • QA completed work and document what passes, what fails, and what still needs attention.
  • Build trust with developers, Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership by making communication clearer and work easier to follow.
  • Own the product documentation layer between business needs and developer execution.
  • Help run product standups and make sure open work is visible, assigned, and moving.
  • Create repeatable processes for ticket writing, QA, and product handoff to Customer Success and other departments.
  • Proactively surface product gaps, broken workflows, unclear ownership, and “we should probably fix this before it becomes a Thing” moments.
  • Help account for developer time by ensuring the majority of active sprint work is represented in tickets and documented clearly.
  • Become one of the people who can explain what was built, why it was built, whether it works, and what still needs to happen next.
