Product Manager - Chemical Pulping

About The Position

The Product Manager serves as the technical expert and primary contact for the Chemical Pulping product line in Valmet’s Pulp Energy and Circularity (PEC) portfolio. This hands-on, fast-paced role drives proposal development, supports customers, collaborates with sales, engineering, field service, and manufacturing, and helps grow the business. The position manages inquiries and proposals, supports troubleshooting, guides product development, contributes to strategic planning, and helps ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Travel is required 50–70%, including occasional international trips. Applicants must be living in the United States and authorized to work there. The position is not available for international relocation. Any employment offer is contingent on a background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Strong technical communication skills.
Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and control drawings.
Solid understanding of pulp mill operations.
Customer-first mindset.
Strong organizational abilities and comfort managing shifting priorities.
Must be living in the United States and authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Background in digester and feedline systems; candidates with this background receive preferred consideration.
Overall pulp mill experience is valued.
