About The Position

The Chemical Handler coordinates raw material movements between the warehouse and production to support production schedules. The role prepares chemical raw materials for production, maintains inventory records and warehouse organization, and collects samples for laboratory testing. It also requires safe handling of chemicals and equipment, compliance with process documentation and safety procedures, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and 5S standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency with PC skills, including Microsoft Office, RF scanners, and SAP.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Able to lift and maneuver up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Able to operate a forklift, wear a respirator, and handle chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate physical raw material movements between the warehouse and production to support the production schedule.
• Pick, prepare, weigh, and label chemical raw materials for production according to batch sheets and material requests.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through raw material and packaging cycle counts and timely SAP transactions for counts and stock transfers.
• Organize and consolidate raw materials in warehouse racks to support efficient inventory control.
• Collect raw material samples for laboratory testing and collaborate with laboratory personnel during tanker unloading.
• Handle chemicals and operate equipment according to safety procedures, required PPE, and process documentation.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and 5S standards.
