Product Manager, Onboarding and Growth

Ashby•,
•$180,000 - $260,000

About The Position

Ashby is hiring a growth-oriented Product Manager to help users onboard and expand their use of its recruiting platform. The role focuses on understanding the full customer journey and designing product and email experiences that help individuals and organizations with different roles and goals achieve value from Ashby. The Product Manager will productize learnings from human-led onboarding and collaborate closely with Customer Success, Revenue Operations, engineering, and the data team. This is Ashby’s first product team focused on growth and onboarding. The role owns product-led growth, transactional email triggered by product signals, adoption metrics, the definition and routing of Product Qualified Leads, and product changes that make onboarding easier and increase adoption. The position emphasizes customer research, deep product thinking, written communication, and long-term customer-value outcomes rather than relying primarily on conversion optimization or A/B testing. Over time, the Product Manager will develop frameworks and advise other product teams on adoption, while building familiarity with Ashby’s platform foundations. Ashby describes its product-management approach as giving engineers end-to-end ownership and deep understanding of customer and business problems, while PMs provide significant latitude in solutions and focus on customers, research, strategy, prioritization, and shipping impactful changes at high velocity. The company emphasizes removing customer frustration and adding delight, without asking engineers to work unreasonable hours. The hiring process includes an introductory call, a product experience deep dive, a written assignment and presentation, and a final round of cross-functional interviews. Ashby states that this is an active vacancy and that AI-driven tools may assist recruitment screening, assessment, and selection. The company provides equal employment opportunities and welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
