About The Position

Clerkie is a fintech startup using artificial intelligence to improve financial wellness. Since launching in 2018, the company has expanded from a consumer app to offering B2B software that helps creditors manage loan losses while helping borrowers get out of debt. Clerkie is remote-first, with more than 40 employees across four U.S. time zones. The Product Manager will join Clerkie’s small Product team and own meaningful product initiatives across the company’s platform, from discovery through release. The role works at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and financial infrastructure, partnering closely with engineering, design, leadership, and external enterprise partners. The Product Manager will translate complex workflows and partner needs into scalable product systems, contribute to roadmap and strategy decisions, and help evolve the team’s product practices, documentation, and culture. This is an opportunity to take ownership in a fast-moving startup and grow alongside the company.

Requirements

Experience building and shipping software products in collaboration with engineering teams.
Strong systems thinking and ability to break complex workflows into clear product solutions.
Technical fluency, including comfort discussing APIs, data flows, and system architecture with engineers.
Ability to translate real-world problems into clear product requirements and prioritized work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong ownership mindset and responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Comfort working independently in a remote-first team.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on SaaS platforms, infrastructure products, or developer-facing tools.
Familiarity with fintech, financial services, or regulated industries.
Experience building products that integrate with external systems or enterprise partners.

Responsibilities

Own and lead product initiatives across Clerkie’s platform, from discovery through release.
Collaborate with engineering and design to shape scalable product solutions.
Translate complex partner and ecosystem needs into clear product requirements.
Drive cross-functional alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work directly with enterprise partners to understand workflows and product opportunities.
Define priorities, manage trade-offs, and help shape product roadmap decisions.
Lead product discovery, experimentation, and iteration across multiple initiatives.
Support the evolution of Clerkie’s product systems, rituals, and documentation.
Contribute to building a strong product culture within a small, collaborative team.
