Product Manager

AlertMedia•Austin, TX

About The Position

AlertMedia is hiring a Product Manager to set product vision and lead the development of new AI capabilities for its risk intelligence and response platform. The role combines customer discovery, product strategy, roadmap ownership, delivery partnership, prototyping, measurement, and go-to-market enablement. The Product Manager will work across Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to turn customer and business needs into products that help organizations coordinate responses to critical events. The role focuses on understanding the workflows of security, safety, business continuity, IT, and operations leaders and responders; shaping the direction of an emerging product; and making explicit prioritization decisions. The Product Manager will use AI development and design tools to prototype and validate concepts quickly, define success measures before launch, evaluate outcomes after release, and equip customer-facing teams to explain and support new capabilities. The position strongly prefers candidates in Austin, Texas, but is open to remote candidates based in the U.S., except for residents of the states listed in the posting. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

  • Prior experience working on agentic and/or AI-native products, such as workflow automation, interactive assistants, integration platforms, or agentic tooling.
  • Working understanding of how AI and LLM-based capabilities are designed into products, including their potential leverage and need for guardrails.
  • Systems mindset, including the ability to reason about workflows, dependencies, triggers, and how process components fit together.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort making decisions using incomplete or conflicting information.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technically with Engineering and strategically with executives.
  • Comfort using Jira, Confluence, and product analytics software.
  • Collaborative, no-ego approach and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

  • Define success measures before launch, such as adoption, time saved, workflow completion, reliability, retention impact, and revenue contribution, and instrument for them.
  • Analyze product usage and customer outcomes after release, report results honestly, and use findings to inform prioritization.
  • Work with Product Marketing to position new capabilities, shape messaging, and prepare Sales, Customer Success, and Support to sell and support them.
