About The Position

As part of the Product Management team, the Product Manager will report to the VP, Product Management and their primary responsibility is to act as the general manager for a product line at ThinkOn. You will represent the needs of ThinkOn’s customers and partners to lead cross-functional teams to build service offerings that contribute towards the success of ThinkOn. In this role, you will leverage our core cloud infrastructure platform services (compute, data protection and data archival) as the foundation combining them with managed services delivered internally and/or using vendor partnerships for meaningful and holistic solutions for specific markets in the commercial and public sector space. This will require a solid understanding of the core, creativity and collaboration with partners and an entrepreneurial spirit to make the market. You will have direct input in the product strategy and roadmap for your portfolio and ensure alignment with the company vision. You will become an expert on your product line and will be looked at to describe the company product vision and direction both internally and externally to be the champion of your category. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of product management experience within cloud and managed services, with clear ownership of a product line and its full lifecycle.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Government Secret Security Clearance within the first 3-months of employment.
  • Demonstrated experience building hosted and managed services in close collaboration with technology vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to draft service descriptions, construct cost models, and evaluate deal financials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Lead effectively without direct authority by acting as the general manager of your product line by collaborating with and motivating cross-functional teams (business and technical)for a common objective.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling product presentations for internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience training and enabling sales teams and channel partners through structured programs and live sessions.
  • Self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves approach to quickly evaluate the potential of new service offerings and partnerships and be confident in your position.
  • Solid working knowledge across multiple technology domains, gained through product management, pre-sales, or delivery roles: Compute / IaaS — VMwarevCloud/VCF, containers, networking fundamentals (OSI model, basic security concepts).
  • Storage — Flash, HDD, and object storage; protocols including iSCSI and Fibre Channel; performance metrics (IOPs, latency).
  • Data Protection — Backup and disaster recovery platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, and Zerto.
  • Competitive landscape — familiarity with MSPs and hyper-scale cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and how they position against managed service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Drive alignment between product strategy and company vision, ensuring your portfolio contributes to ThinkOn’s growth objectives.
  • Define and document repeatable product offerings in collaboration with architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of concurrent product release initiatives, resolving conflicts and balancing competing priorities.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and alliances to develop go-to-market strategies, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and deal support.
  • Build and maintain product assets: service descriptions, requirements documents, cost models, and financial analysis.
  • Develop KPIs covering usage, growth, and quality benchmarks; track and communicate product performance regularly.
  • Act as the product champion internally and externally — presenting the product vision to stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop positioning and content; train sales and partner teams through presentations, webinars, and enablement sessions.
  • Participate in key customer engagements and represent ThinkOn at partner and industry events as required.
