About The Position

This Product Manager role blends product ownership, platform operations, and internal support responsibilities. You will serve as the primary U.S. interface for a globally distributed AI data platform, bridging Dallas-based leadership, offshore engineering teams, and internal stakeholders. The role requires a balance of technical fluency, operational execution, and strong communication to ensure platform reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • 2+ years of experience with product management in the AI space.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, especially with offshore and distributed teams.
  • Technical aptitude, including basic coding/scripting and platform understanding.
  • Ability to present technical concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across time zones with global teams.
  • Strong understanding of AI data collection and annotation workflows, with the ability to manage and support the full project lifecycle from initial kickoff through execution and final delivery.
  • Willingness to provide the flexibility required for global coordination for: Early morning calls with China-based teams.
  • Willingness to provide the flexibility required for global coordination for: Evening or late-night meetings with offshore engineering teams.
  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States now and/or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Mandarin language proficiency (strongly preferred due to offshore team collaboration).
  • Experience working with offshore teams, particularly in China.
  • Background in product management, platform management, or technical operations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML data workflows, including annotation and QA processes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary U.S. interface for the platform, coordinating with distributed development teams.
  • Lead requirement clarification, sprint planning, testing cycles, and release management.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities and engineering execution.
  • Understand business workflows related to AI data collection, annotation, and QA.
  • Translate operational needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.
  • Serve as the bridge between Dallas leadership and offshore engineering teams.
  • Facilitate communication across time zones, ensuring clarity on priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Manage and maintain the internal platform supporting data annotation workflows.
  • Oversee platform performance, usability, and enhancements.
  • Communicate platform capabilities, updates, and changes to stakeholders and clients.
  • Enforce platform governance, including repository oversight, access controls, and permission management.
  • Manage data flow processes and ensure strict compliance with U.S. data security standards.
  • Safeguard intellectual property and sensitive data assets.
  • Develop and maintain lightweight automation scripts (Python/SQL) for data processing and workflow optimization.
  • Provide light scripting support (Java preferred) for platform maintenance and improvements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to copyright, data security, and cross-border dependencies.
  • Establish escalation paths and safeguards for compliance and operational risks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal users for platform-related issues and requests.
  • Triage and resolve support tickets, escalating to engineering when necessary.
  • Support onboarding, access provisioning, and user training.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, configuration records, and user guides.
  • Build and manage an internal knowledge base to ensure continuity and scalability.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear written materials for diverse audiences.
