Product Manager, Revenue Engineering

RelayRaleigh, NC
Onsite

About The Position

Relay is seeking a Product Manager for Revenue Engineering to accelerate the company's revenue growth. This new product area will focus on owning the systems and surfaces that enable customers to transact directly within the product, shifting from traditional sales-led motions to Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives. This includes self-serve acquisition for new customers and automated, in-product revenue expansion for existing ones. Additionally, the role will establish Revenue Intelligence, a revenue data product that consolidates definitions from Sales, CS, Finance, and Revenue Strategy into a single source of truth, accessible through interfaces like Claude, to empower Go-To-Market teams. The ultimate goal is to increase the speed of the revenue flywheel by driving new ARR, expansion ARR, and reducing revenue leakage due to friction through automation and self-serve capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of product management experience in enterprise software or SaaS, ideally including ownership of a meaningful product surface end-to-end.
  • A track record of moving business metrics (revenue, conversion, retention, cycle time) that you owned and influenced.
  • Comfort at the seam between business strategy and technical systems, able to engage in pricing conversations with a CFO and architecture conversations with an engineer.
  • Strong written communication skills for framing problems, making recommendations, and tailoring messages to different audiences (engineering, sales, finance, executives).
  • Judgment, trajectory, and fit are prioritized over a specific resume shape.
  • Experience in billing or CPQ tooling, PLG and self-serve growth, RevOps platforms, or fintech is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Hunt friction and instinctively identify unnecessary process steps.
  • Think in terms of flywheels and leading indicators for outcomes.
  • Genuine curiosity about agents and automation.
  • A builder's bias toward action, preferring to ship and learn over extensive upfront specification.
  • High personal standards, taking ownership of outcomes and not hiding behind team credit.
  • Comfort in ambiguity, as this product area is being defined upon joining.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full revenue chain, including order entry, internal revenue and billing surfaces, and the handoff to NetSuite.
  • Define and own customer-facing self-serve experiences for both new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
  • PM the Revenue Intelligence data product, partnering with the analytics team to encode metric definitions from Finance and other departments into tools served through Claude and other interfaces.
  • Develop the agent and automation layer to accelerate the revenue flywheel by abstracting and automating routine revenue workflows for Sales, CS, and Finance.
  • Operationalize merchandising and pricing, translating Revenue Strategy decisions into live offers within the system, HQ, and the self-serve experience.
  • Provide context and well-framed problems to Engineering, clearly articulating the 'why' behind each initiative.
  • Own and resolve stakeholder friction, synthesizing complaints into clear problems for Engineering.
  • Act as a calming and decisive presence, buffering against competing demands and maintaining focus in engineering discussions.
  • Contribute to global optimization by synthesizing business objectives and technical constraints, surfacing tradeoffs for product leadership prioritization.
  • Lead with quantitative rigor, using data to measure friction, define success, and prioritize investments that accelerate the revenue flywheel.
