Product Manager, Revenue Cycle

HeidiSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Heidi is an AI startup focused on strengthening the human connection in healthcare. They have developed an AI Care Partner that supports millions of patient sessions weekly and is used by hundreds of thousands of clinicians for documentation. The company has found product-market fit with individual clinicians through a freemium medical scribe and is now expanding to address broader healthcare system challenges, including revenue cycle management. The Product Manager for Revenue Cycle will play a crucial role in developing and deploying solutions that ensure clinical documentation accurately translates into complete codes, thereby improving hospital funding and reducing financial losses. This role requires deep understanding of healthcare workflows, strong analytical skills, and the ability to quantify value for enterprise customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping product in healthcare, specifically selling to or building for health systems.
  • Working fluency in revenue cycle concepts: ICD-10, DRG assignment, HCC capture, E&M levelling.
  • ROI-first thinking: ability to build a health system's business case independently.
  • Passion for AI, demonstrated through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects.
  • Fluency with core LLM concepts and systems (prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, evaluation) and the ability to translate them into reliable products.
  • A bias for building over requesting.
  • Strong opinions, held loosely, with the ability to influence discussions.
  • Data fluency with diagnostic capabilities: ability to analyze reports, identify model failures, and specify necessary changes.
  • High tolerance for 0-to-1 ambiguity; comfortable defining product direction in an early-stage environment.
  • Belief that great design transforms user experience.
  • Execution powerhouse: ability to ship product regularly.
  • Ability to execute without extensive support from data analysts, product marketers, or research coordinators.
  • A desire to make health systems better.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with games.
  • A 'weird teenage hobby'.

Responsibilities

  • Own the revenue cycle product across primary markets (Australia, UK, US), deciding on build, no-build, and sequencing for the clinical coding engine, coder seat, and EHR connections.
  • Work forward-deployed, conducting on-site discovery at health systems to understand coder workflows, identify opportunities, and scope pilot projects with clear outcome targets.
  • Develop and communicate end-to-end ROI models for health system engagements, ensuring the product itself demonstrates value.
  • Define and own coding accuracy as a product metric, including establishing evaluation infrastructure, determining human-in-the-loop integration, and shipping fixes with measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with upstream clinical teams to improve documentation quality through CDI queries, prompts, and nudges.
  • Navigate and overcome AI resistance within coding departments and IT procurement processes.
  • Partner with engineering on the connection and evaluation layers, including code mapping, workflow orchestration, and accuracy frameworks.
  • Shape the commercial strategy for revenue cycle products, including pricing, proof points, outcome metrics, and sales enablement materials.
  • Act as a liaison across Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure alignment and effective product delivery.
  • Develop deal narratives, sales enablement materials, and ROI case studies.
