About The Position

As Product Manager for Payments & Commerce, you'll own the financial layer that sits beneath Dockwa's marina software and connects to our boater experience. As Dockwa expands into portfolio-scale marina operators, the payments layer needs to grow with it — from single-marina fee structures to multi-entity accounting, cross-property reporting, and enterprise compliance infrastructure. You'll define what that looks like and build the roadmap to get there. You'll be accountable for growing gross payment volume (GPV), increasing use of Dockwa Pay (“the boater’s wallet”), and driving activation of Dockwa’s core Transient, Contracts, POS, and Integration modules. You'll report to the VP of Product and work closely with engineering, design, sales, customer success, and the other product pods whose modules depend on the commerce infrastructure you own.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in Product Management with meaningful experience in payments, fintech, financial infrastructure, or commerce platforms.
  • Direct experience with payment processing systems, reconciliation workflows, or accounting integrations.
  • Track record of building or scaling a payments or commerce product within a vertical SaaS or platform business.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and compliance requirements into clear product strategies that serve both SMB marina operators and enterprise portfolio customers.
  • Comfort operating across multiple product teams as the owner of a shared, foundational layer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality, travel, or property management industries where payments intersect with operational workflows.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, SOC2, and enterprise procurement requirements.
  • Familiarity with accounting system integrations (QuickBooks, Xero) and multi-entity financial structures.
  • Experience with payment hardware (POS terminals, fuel system integrations).

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for Dockwa's payments and commerce infrastructure — including fee structures, settlement workflows, accounting integrations, and compliance — and define the roadmap for making it enterprise-ready.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure technical feasibility, timely delivery, and high-quality execution of features.
  • Serve as the commerce infrastructure owner across all product pods — partnering with marina-side PMs on module-level payment features, and with the Boater PM on the consumer payment experience — while also working directly with Sales and Customer Success on go-to-market and activation. Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Communicate product plans, priorities, and timelines to Leadership, managing expectations and alignment.
  • Identify where AI can reduce manual work in the payments layer — reconciliation, anomaly detection, fee calculation, financial reporting — and build toward increasingly automated financial workflows for marina operators. Define success metrics and monitor product performance, iterating quickly based on results.
