About The Position

As the Product Manager on Coinbase’s developer team, you will own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution of next-generation payment experiences. The role focuses on bridging traditional commerce with Web3 through seamless checkout and funding experiences using fiat payment methods such as cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, as well as crypto options including self-custodial wallets, Coinbase retail accounts, and stablecoins. You will drive the roadmap for the Payment Acceptance API, OAuth deep-linking integrations, and headless Onramp APIs. Working closely with engineering, partner platforms, and payment service providers worldwide, you will lead technical initiatives, expand global merchant adoption, and help set standards for stablecoin and digital asset payments.

Requirements

At least 6 years of technical product management experience in global payments.
Deep understanding of payment service providers, acquiring, authorization and settlement mechanics, and merchant acquiring ecosystems.
Familiarity with cross-border payment regulations, fintech compliance, and international licensing frameworks across major regions such as the US, EU, and LatAm.
Demonstrated success designing, launching, and scaling developer-facing products, headless APIs, SDKs, and deep-link/OAuth integration frameworks.
Working understanding of crypto transactions, stablecoins, self-custodial wallets, and cross-chain bridge/liquidity protocols.
Track record operating at an IC5 / Staff PM level and independently driving cross-functional roadmaps with engineering, business development, compliance, and tier-1 enterprise partners.

Responsibilities

Drive the full product lifecycle for the Pay suite, including the merchant portal and checkout experience covering authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and subscriptions.
Expand and optimize the headless Onramp API, Coinbase OAuth retail funding flows, and merchant payment acceptance infrastructure for fiat-to-crypto and stablecoin payments.
Collaborate with cross-chain infrastructure providers to support multi-asset routing, such as USDT to USDC.
Drive integrations with major commerce and payment service provider platforms.
Design unified checkout experiences connecting traditional payment rails—including Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards, and bank transfers—with decentralized ecosystems, DeFi applications, and self-custodial wallets.
Independently drive cross-functional roadmaps with engineering, business development, compliance, and enterprise partners.
