This role will manage the product ecosystem, inclusive of third-party vendors, to balance fraud prevention, conversion, customer experience, operational efficiency, and platform resiliency. This role is accountable for shaping and delivering Digital Fraud capabilities across the order lifecycle, from account and device signals through pre-authorization risk checks, post-order fraud review, fulfillment, reship/refund monitoring, chargeback management, and continuous rule and signal optimization.

  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and foundational Scrum/Agile practices.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products or features that deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority across product, engineering, architecture, business, operations, analytics, security, and vendor partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to translate complex technical, risk, and operational concepts into concise stakeholder-ready narratives.
  • Strong deductive reasoning skills, curiosity, and desire to learn a complex domain with real-time operational impact.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with various peer groups and business partners.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, contracts, pilots, proofs of concept, implementation planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain a Digital Fraud product roadmap that aligns to business outcomes, portfolio priorities, fraud-risk reduction, conversion protection, and trusted Athlete experiences.
  • Lead discovery and solutioning for fraud capabilities such as pre-authorization fraud checks, post-order decisioning, device fingerprinting, reject/recycle, chargeback automation, fraud data foundations, and fraud lifecycle improvements.
  • Translate business needs from Digital Loss Prevention, Payments, eCommerce, Mobile App, Treasury, Sales Audit, Store Ops, Loyalty, and other partners into clear product outcomes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Own KPI definition and measurement for the product domain, including fraud loss, cancel and chargeback trends, accept/reject/manual-review performance, demand-to-fulfillment impact, SLA/SLO considerations, false positives, operational friction, and customer experience impacts.
  • Partner with other Product Managers, Engineering, Architecture, Data Product, Analytics, and Reliability partners to improve observability, monitoring, automated testing, system resiliency, and data-driven decisioning.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal platform teams to evaluate, pilot, implement, and continuously optimize fraud and risk capabilities while managing dependencies, contracts, and delivery risks.
  • Design and evaluate controlled experiments, A/B tests, and phased rollouts to measure fraud performance, conversion impacts, and operational outcomes.
  • Improve upstream engagement so Digital Fraud is included early in planning for new experiences, payment methods, loyalty programs, fulfillment changes, and AI/agentic commerce opportunities.
  • Evaluate and support machine learning, behavioral analytics, and AI-driven fraud detection capabilities while balancing explainability, governance, and customer experience.
  • Monitor fraud, retail, digital commerce, and payment trends to proactively identify emerging risk patterns and shape product strategy before issues become reactive operational escalations.
  • Monitor emerging fraud vectors including account takeover, promotion abuse, synthetic identities, bot attacks, and credential stuffing.
  • Participate in fraud-related incident response, major issue management, and post-incident reviews. Help drive corrective actions following production incidents, fraud spikes, chargeback events, or vendor service disruptions.
  • Build and maintain the Digital Fraud roadmap collaboratively based on measurable business and technology outcomes; prioritize fraud capabilities and platform improvements aligned to fraud prevention, athlete trust, conversion, operational efficiency, and resiliency; use KPI evidence to weigh tradeoffs such as false positives, fraud loss, chargeback reduction, approval rates, SLA impact, and engineering capacity; clearly explain why work was prioritized.
  • Lead discovery exercises with Digital LP, Payments, eCommerce, Cart & Checkout, Mobile, Athlete Order, Store Ops, Treasury, Sales Audit, Security, Engineering, and vendors; use fraud, payment, order, device, account, chargeback, customer service, and operational data to identify pain points; monitor production issues, manual review trends, cancels, chargebacks, and emerging fraud trends; conduct market and vendor research; work with the Group Product Manager to prioritize based on value, risk, capacity, dependencies, and timing.
  • Define KPIs and product objectives in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders; measure adoption, usage, operational workload, risk reduction, fraud loss, chargebacks, manual review, order flow, and business impact of launches to prove ROI; use evidence-based influencing skills and build reporting narratives that connect delivery to measurable outcomes and leadership decisions.
  • Conduct stakeholder identification workshops and maintain stakeholder maps for Digital Fraud capabilities, vendor touchpoints, business owners, and technology dependencies; create and communicate standard touchpoints with Digital LP, Payments, Sales Audit, Treasury, eCommerce, Cart & Checkout, Mobile, Athlete Order, Security, and other impacted teams; build shared understanding of Digital Fraud’s role in the order lifecycle so teams engage early and minimize unplanned work; translate fraud-risk needs into actions for business, engineering, analytics, and vendors.
  • Proactively identify dependencies and mitigate risky assumptions across systems, vendors, business processes, and peak readiness; identify and communicate shipping risks including athlete experience, conversion, SLA, operational workload, resiliency, and compliance considerations; build release plans that clarify who is impacted, what changes, when it launches, how it will be validated, and how production outcomes will be monitored; build story maps and user stories that articulate required fraud signals, integrations, decisioning logic, data flows, and operational workflows; perform validation for releases, bug fixes, vendor integrations, fraud rules, and feature requests; troubleshoot defects and participate in root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors on day-to-day activities to ensure successful product experiences and measurable outcomes; lead or support sprint planning, iteration planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and stakeholder readouts; run experimental, beta, pilot, and POC programs with early-stage fraud capabilities and support transition from pilot to implementation when value is proven.
