About The Position

The Product Manager is the heartbeat of innovation—connecting customers, engineering, sales, and strategy to bring impactful food processing solutions to life.They shape product vision, guide development, and drive global success from concept to launch and beyond. By turning market insights into smart decisions, they ensure products meet international standards and support teams worldwide. For those passionate about building products that perform, scale, and truly meet customer needs—this is where it all comes together. This position is focused on growing our FMS (Free Movement System) and Automation side of the business and can be based in Mokena, Illinois or Flawil, Switzerland.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in a technical or industrial setting
  • 3-5 years of automation experience in an industrial environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Industrial Engineering, MBA a plus
  • Background in mechanical engineering, automation, or plant engineering
  • Familiar with global markets and regulations (CE, UL, FDA, ISO, HACCP)
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration (sales, engineering, marketing, service)
  • Strong technical aptitude for complex products
  • Experience with product requirements, roadmaps, and PLM tools
  • Fluent in English; other languages, especially German a plus
  • Knowledge of compliance and food safety standards
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Customer-focused, hands-on, and open to international travel

  • Food processing or related industry experience preferred
  • MBA a plus

  • Prioritizes features based on customer value and business impact
  • Analyzes global markets, customer needs, competitors, and trends
  • Acts as the go-to for product, pricing, and positioning insights
  • Connects cross-functional teams to turn customer needs into clear technical requirements
  • Supports development and ensures solutions are feasible and well understood
  • Adapts products for international markets and manages certifications
  • Enables regional sales teams with product expertise
  • Leads product launches and manages the full lifecycle with continuous improvement
  • Acts as the voice of the customer and key stakeholder contact
  • Drives business performance through pricing, KPIs, and lifecycle profitability
