About The Position

The future of enterprise Finance isn't just automated, it's intelligent. At Apple, we don't bolt AI onto existing workflows. We reimagine them from the ground up. The Finance Transformation team is evolving from a project-centric delivery model to a product-led mindset, ensuring our internal tools are as intuitive and innovative as the products Apple sells. We're building a new generation of AI-native Finance platforms where intelligent agents surface insights in real time, documents process themselves, and financial decisions are powered by models that are accurate, auditable, and trusted at Apple scale. We're looking for a Product Manager who will partner with the engineering team in supporting Apple's Operations Finance. This covers processes across supply chain finance including product cost, manufacturing, tooling, logistics, R&D, and operations financial planning. You will own product responsibility for critical Operations Finance platforms, with a focus on cost optimization and risk mitigation, supply chain analysis and forecasting, Capex management, and financial planning and analysis. Why this role is different. Most enterprise PM roles ask you to maintain and incrementally improve existing systems. This role asks you to reimagine them with AI at the core. You'll define how intelligent agents operate within Apple's Operations Finance ecosystem, how they surface cost anomalies, reason over complex supply chain data, generate audit-ready outputs, and earn the trust of a world-class Finance organization. This is foundational platform work with company-wide impact. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, engineering, and business stakeholders to streamline processes and deliver world-class user experiences for thousands of Apple employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience within Enterprise, FinTech, SaaS, or AI focused organizations.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain Domain Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain finance including product cost, manufacturing, logistics, and tooling, with experience in Operations and Supply Chain Finance highly desirable.
  • Enterprise Systems: Expertise in ERP and financial systems (SAP, Oracle), Product Lifecycle Management (Siemens Teamcenter, Oracle Agile PLM), or similar platforms.
  • AI & Emerging Technology: Hands-on experience with Generative AI, AI agents, or intelligent automation. You're excited about fundamentally transforming workflows, not just adding a chatbot layer.
  • Business-to-Technical Translation: Demonstrated ability to bridge Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders with Engineering teams, converting complex business processes into clear product requirements and feature specifications.
  • Product Thinking: Experience going beyond requirements gathering to defining user value and outcomes. You understand the difference between delivering a project and delivering a product.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence without authority, building alignment across Finance, Engineering, Operations, and business partners.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable analyzing cost data, supply chain patterns, and business trends to drive prioritization and measure product success.
  • Technical Fluency: Able to discuss APIs, data models, AI/ML/LLM capabilities, and system integrations with Engineering teams.
  • Advanced Degree: MBA or technical graduate degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own Product Discovery & Strategy (Defining the "What")
  • Own the Operations Finance journey end to end, from forecasting component cost in Procurement Finance through analyzing multi-leg delivery in Logistics Finance, identifying user pain points, process bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation.
  • Partner with Operations Finance stakeholders to uncover deep business pain points, not just surface requests, and identify where AI can drive cost optimization, stronger forecasting and analysis, and workflow automation.
  • Size and prioritize opportunities by business impact, user value, and strategic fit.
  • Build and maintain a living AI roadmap that balances near-term wins (e.g., data extraction, anomaly detection pilots) with long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Drive Product Definition & Delivery (Building the "Right Thing")
  • Translate business needs into precise user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics across Operations Finance product surfaces.
  • Define features for product cost tracking, BOM cost roll-ups across multi-tier supplier hierarchies, cost modeling, and variance analysis between standard, planned, and actual costs.
  • Define features for demand and supply cost forecasting, scenario modeling (tariffs, commodity shifts, FX exposure), Capex pipeline management, and long-range operations financial planning.
  • Define high-value AI use cases including cost anomaly detection, predictive risk signals across the supply base, and intelligent cost reconciliation, while partnering with business stakeholders on accuracy thresholds and audit requirements.
  • Articulate system-level requirements for AI agents, including real-time data access, audit trails, and explainability, and partner with Engineering on integrations across SAP, Bill of Materials and Cost Management systems, and internal planning platforms.
  • Drive sprint planning, scope management, and release strategy with Engineering, making informed trade-offs on scope and timeline.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Orchestration (Coordinating the Impact)
  • Operate at the center of the product-business-engineering triad, keeping Finance, Operations, Engineering, and business partners aligned.
  • Challenge stakeholder requests to ensure the right problem is being solved first, sharing data insights on trends and opportunities with Finance and Procurement partners.
  • Advocate for user needs while respecting technical constraints, collaborating on feasibility and integration with existing systems including SAP and internal planning and cost management systems.
  • Partner with Design & Data Science on UX quality and AI model requirements.
  • Pilot solutions with Lines of Business, gather feedback on validation accuracy, and provide visibility into spend and rates.
  • Make data-informed prioritization decisions based on financial impact, efficiency gains, and user value.
  • Establish Product Excellence & Ethical AI (Measuring & Iterating)
  • Define and track success metrics including cost savings identified and realized, forecast accuracy, Capex planning cycle time, variance detection lead time, analyst productivity, and data quality across cost and supply chain systems.
  • Build continuous feedback loops that turn user signal into product improvements, establishing ongoing feedback mechanisms with cost analysts, supply chain analysts, operations controllers, and FP&A partners.
  • Uphold Apple's standards for privacy, security, and accessibility across all Operations Finance products.
  • Lead responsible AI practices: accuracy validation, bias detection, transparent user communication, and human review for critical financial decisions.
