Product Manager, Emerging Technology

Salesforce•New York, NY
•$148,500 - $246,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Emerging Technology is Salesforce's 0-to-1 engine inside the Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) organization. We take on the company's most ambiguous, high-stakes problems and operate like a startup embedded in an enterprise — prototyping quickly, grounding our hypotheses in data, and iterating until we've cracked the problem. We're looking for a Product Manager who wants to accelerate their career by working this way, learning from senior product leaders, and owning real outcomes early.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of product management experience, in an enterprise or startup setting
  • A builder mindset: genuine interest in building new things, energized by ambiguity rather than paralyzed by it — the type of person who prototypes on weekends, tinkers with new tools before being asked, and treats constraints as creative fuel
  • Hands-on, daily use of AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to draft specs, analyze data, prototype solutions, and accelerate workflow, along with enough understanding of how LLMs work to know when to trust their output and when not to
  • Exposure to, or strong curiosity about, emerging technologies, data-driven products, or innovative platforms
  • A strong execution mindset — able to turn a rough direction into a plan teams can run with
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Customer-focused thinking, with eagerness to learn how to gather, synthesize, and act on user insights
  • Comfort operating in highly matrixed, resource-constrained environments

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience shipping an MVP or 0-to-1 product in a resource-constrained team
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks or lightweight research methods for validating product hypotheses
  • A related technical degree required

Responsibilities

  • Own pieces of new product initiatives end-to-end, from problem framing through delivery, working alongside senior PMs who will push you to grow
  • Drive rapid prototyping and experimentation, validating concepts through data, customer feedback, and scrappy testing before committing to full builds
  • Translate ambiguous problems into clear product requirements and user stories that engineering and design teams can act on
  • Conduct customer research and synthesize problems, ideas, and insights to inform the roadmap
  • Collaborate across product, design, engineering, and operations to deliver production-ready MVPs on aggressive timelines
  • Track emerging technology trends and bring fresh perspectives that help the team spot the next opportunity
  • Maintain product roadmaps, write detailed specs, and define the success metrics that tell us whether something is working

  • time off programs
  • medical
  • dental
  • vision
  • mental health support
  • paid parental leave
  • life and disability insurance
  • 401(k)
