Product Manager, Derived Intelligence

Datasite•New York, NY
•$100,600 - $169,800•Hybrid

About The Position

Datasite, which includes Grata, Blueflame AI, and Sherpany, provides infrastructure for M&A. Grata combines knowledge of private companies with Datasite’s perspective on deal processes. The Derived Intelligence team turns proprietary data into products, including derived scores, behavioral signals, and market indices that help customers understand which private companies may transact, likely buyers, and market direction. The Product Manager will own the Derived Intelligence portfolio and roadmap, defining what the products measure, partnering with data science to build and validate models, and packaging the products into the Grata platform and MCP tooling. The role involves identifying customer value in proprietary data, setting rigorous definitions and requirements, measuring accuracy, and iterating as product usage grows. The position works closely with data scientists, machine learning and data engineers, full stack engineers, design, product marketing, and commercial teams. The company seeks an initiative-taking, customer-focused product manager who can turn ambiguity into clear solutions. Grata has a hybrid work environment; employees work from its New York City office in Columbus Circle on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

  • Experience partnering with data scientists on predictive or statistical models, including defining success and readiness for launch.
  • A track record of identifying valuable products within existing datasets and exercising domain judgment about customer value.
  • Understanding of data quality mechanics, including coverage, precision and recall, entity resolution, freshness, and building trust in data that cannot be verified by eye.
  • Ability to partner with and influence people at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in a startup or high-ambiguity environment, with the ability to manage complexity affecting multiple stakeholders in an organized and structured way.
  • Interest in an office-centric culture with a flexible work environment.

  • Partner with data scientists on predictive and behavioral models by framing problems, defining labels and evaluation, and assessing readiness for customer use.
  • Identify product opportunities in proprietary data across Grata, Datasite, and the wider Datasite family while accounting for coverage, refresh, and data rights constraints.
  • Define and defend metric definitions, including what a score means, how it is calculated, and what it does and does not claim.
  • Build understanding of dealmaker workflows, pain points, and behaviors through commercial-team partnerships, user research, and data analysis.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps with milestones and measurable metrics, and track progress toward goals.
  • Work with data science, machine learning, design, engineering, and product marketing to define and ship the roadmap.
  • Prioritize initiatives using customer-centric and data-driven approaches to maximize impact and customer value.
