About The Position

Billing and collections sit at the center of gym operators' revenue, retention, and customer trust. This role owns the product strategy and roadmap for billing, subscriptions, payments, and collections across ABC Fitness, turning complex payment workflows into reliable, intelligent experiences for operators and their members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning complex products from strategy through launch.
  • Experience in payments, billing, fintech, SaaS subscriptions, commerce, or a closely related domain.
  • Strong customer empathy, business judgment, and analytical skills; you turn ambiguous problems into clear product bets and measurable outcomes.
  • An effective cross-functional leader who can align technical and non-technical stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and maintain momentum through complexity.
  • An excellent communicator who writes clearly, frames trade-offs precisely, and can influence executives, engineers, and customer-facing teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with subscription billing, dunning or payment recovery, payment routing, risk/fraud, API-based platforms, or data/AI-powered product capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the long-term vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Billing & Collections; make clear trade-offs across customer value, revenue, risk, and engineering complexity.
  • Build deep customer and market understanding, using operator feedback, competitive insight, and product data to identify the highest-impact problems and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, and GTM to shape and launch reliable billing experiences.
  • Drive improvements across subscriptions, recurring payments, invoicing, dunning, notifications, payment recovery, and automation - including AI where it can materially improve outcomes.
  • Define the product metrics that matter, use experimentation and analytics to guide decisions, and measure impact on payment success, involuntary churn, recovery, adoption, and cost efficiency.
