About The Position

LifeServe Blood Center is seeking a part-time Product Management Technician / Driver to join our team in Aberdeen. This role is crucial for the timely and appropriate handling of blood products and services, ensuring accurate recordkeeping for customers. The position involves transporting blood products and/or specimens between service hospitals and LifeServe facilities, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Product Management Technicians are responsible for managing inventory, minimizing waste, and acting as the final checkpoint for quality control to ensure blood products are accurately and safely packaged for lifesaving transfusions and medical procedures. The role operates in a highly regulated and process-driven environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced tasks. Problem-solving and logistical support for product distribution across the U.S. are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of previous experience in product delivery preferred.
  • Current driver's license and motor vehicle report meeting insurability requirements required.
  • A requirement of this position is the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes during on-call hours.
  • Working knowledge and experience working on a computer system required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform distribution/product management tasks according to established policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform highly standardized work using established processes and procedures.
  • Perform review of distribution, component modification and equipment related documentation.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and document problems that may influence the quality or completion of shipping and component manufacturing.
  • Perform distribution procedures according to established policy and SOP.
  • Perform and document quality control, calibration and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with writing, review, and evaluation of SOPs.
  • Assist with validation of new equipment and processes.
  • Maintain regular attendance and availability.
  • Maintain confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donor, employee, financial, and proprietary records and information at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Execute tasks effectively in a highly regulated environment.
  • Driving responsibilities due to nature of product delivery.
