About The Position

The Product Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Global Product Management standard and executing all activities within Platform(s) for the end-to-end process related to engineering changes and Customer owned tooling information. This role aims to increase customer satisfaction and generate value-added proposals related to the platform(s) through the successful implementation of engineering changes and product lifecycle management. The specialist will manage engineering changes to ensure execution in terms of time, quality, and cost, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to assess RFQ implications. Key responsibilities include customer communication, generating value-added proposals, ensuring timely data management, supporting VAVE practices, gathering platform tooling lifecycle information, assuring data management systems meet audit requirements, maintaining communication with Operations, and escalating potential issues to upper management. The role is located at the Hopkinsville, KY facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered, or in a quality and/or product management implementation engineering position within the automotive chassis frame industry
  • Experience must include increasing customer satisfaction and profitability related to the customer and its programs through the successful implementation of engineering changes and product lifecycle management
  • Must have hands-on experience coordinating all activities for product platform end-to-end processes related to Engineering Changes and Customer owned tooling information

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance to the Global Product Management standard
  • Executing all activities within Platform(s) for the end-to-end process related to engineering changes and Customer owned tooling information
  • Increasing customer satisfaction and generating value added proposals related to the platform(s) through the successful implementation of engineering changes and product lifecycle management
  • Managing Engineering Changes to ensure the execution in terms of time, quality, and cost
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to assess the RFQs implications in terms of cost and timing
  • Fulfilling the Customer communication and relationship
  • Generating and coordinating the Value-added proposals and bring visibility to the customer
  • Ensuring timely data management and inputs into the customer system and communicate customer requirements to operations
  • Supporting on the implementation and follow up of the VAVE practices with customer and Operations to increase Value added
  • Gathering and developing the platform tooling lifecycle information (including obsolescence and disposal)
  • Assuring data management system to meet Customer and External audit requirements
  • Keeping the collaborative work relationship and open communication channels with Operations
  • Escalating to the Upper Management any potential issue that might impact Customer satisfaction
  • Performing other duties/responsibilities at the Hopkinsville, KY facility, as needed
