About The Position

Smarty is seeking a Product Management Intern who is passionate about solving customer problems and developing products. This paid internship offers students the chance to shape a product roadmap and learn the process of bringing a product from idea to launch. The internship runs from January 2027 to mid-August 2027, requiring a minimum of 15+ hours per week during Winter/Spring Terms, with the possibility of more hours in the Summer. Interns will work closely with the product management team, researching customer needs, supporting the product roadmap, and guiding features from concept to launch. This role provides exposure to innovation in location data intelligence, including address quality, geocoding, and address enrichment, while learning about cross-functional product development with engineering, marketing, sales, and UX. The position is onsite in the Orem office.

Requirements

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Product Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Interest or coursework in product management, business strategy, or technology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data to support decisions and recommendations
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with location intelligence data, GIS, address validation, or geocoding

  • Help translate customer requirements into clear, detailed product requirements for engineering
  • Support go-to-market efforts by partnering with marketing on messaging and launch plans

  • Help gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product performance
  • Assist with product training materials and sales support as needed
  • Participate in company cultural initiatives, and apply the learned principles in your work and in your interactions with others
