About The Position

OneEthos is a purpose-driven fintech startup that provides best-in-class digital solutions to technologically underserved community financial institutions. Their mission is to strengthen digital channels, grow loans and deposits profitably and responsibly, and generate positive social, environmental, and financial returns. The company operates with a remote-first team and is built on principles of sustainability and impact banking. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the workings of a fintech startup, sustainability, solar lending, and the role of a technology partner to purpose-driven financial institutions. Interns will also gain insight into Climate First Bank, a OneEthos client. The remote Product Management Intern will focus on learning to lead product and market development efforts and support the software development process from inception through commercialization. This role involves partnering with engineers, bankers, and stakeholders to develop and commercialize products that meet customer needs.

Requirements

Technology related education equipping with technical understanding and tools.
Initiative to build on education with high-profile projects, participation in targeted clubs, and proactive completion of certifications.
Passion for technology and seeking broad exposure in this field.
Knowledgeable in Javascript, HTML/CSS, Node.js, Git, SQL or NoSQL Database, Typescript, MongoDB, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, No-Code or Low-Code solutions.
Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes charge of work product and delivers consistently great results.
Ability to anticipate and mitigate slowdowns, balancing efficiency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Build technical solutions and implement key measurements to track progress against business goals and desired security outcomes.
Lead internal technical conversations by outlining the technical design, being the owner of trade-offs between technical cost and business value, and optimizing QA/testing.
Implement and manage robust risk systems throughout the software development lifecycle to quantify and manage the company’s overall risk exposures.
Define a clear and compelling vision for products, aligning it with customer needs and larger business objectives.
Rally and align stakeholders around the product vision, ensuring a shared understanding and commitment to success.
Continuously monitor the market, conduct competitive analyses, and stay updated on industry trends to inform product strategy.
Create and maintain the company's product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the product vision and business objectives, and continuously update and communicate the roadmap to guide development efforts and maintain transparency across teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document detailed product requirements, user stories, and use cases.
Prioritize product features and capabilities to maximize value and achieve business objectives.
Create a shared knowledge base across larger teams, enabling independent decision-making that aligns with the product vision.
Understand and represent user needs throughout the product development lifecycle.
Deeply comprehend the company's business model and how it relates to product strategy.
Be knowledgeable about the history of products and their evolution to make informed decisions.
Work closely with the CEO and CTO to refine the product strategy and vision, ensuring it aligns with the company's overall business goals.
