About The Position

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) is a political tech company dedicated to breaking down barriers in fundraising for progressive campaigns and causes. GA maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active, left-leaning American donors. The company is seeking a Product Intern to join its Product team, a cross-functional group central to building, refining, and growing its software products. This is a broad role designed for individuals who are curious, communicate clearly, and can engage in both analytical and research-oriented work. The intern will be integrated into real projects and expected to contribute meaningfully from the start.

Requirements

  • Analytical and pattern-oriented mindset.
  • Clear and independent communication skills, capable of producing write-ups or charts with minimal guidance.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to shift between different project types.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, user research, or product work (through coursework, internships, or personal projects).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, BI platforms, or UX research software.
  • Interest in progressive politics and civic technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product adoption and usage, identifying patterns in engagement, funnel performance, and market opportunities.
  • Contribute to lead scoring, segmentation, or other prioritization efforts.
  • Build charts, summaries, and dashboards to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Support go-to-market activities related to product, including user education, onboarding, and adoption tracking.
  • Assist in planning and executing usability tests, interviews, and surveys.
  • Draft discussion guides and research protocols under supervision.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into themes, journey maps, or reports.
  • Translate research insights into recommendations for designers and Product Managers.
  • Assist with logistics, documentation, and coordination for the Product team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, such as enhancing feedback loops, documentation, or automations.
